TIS Weekly: Ready For Take-off?

Ready For Take-off?

A new month, a new theme to focus on! This month we are going to deep dive into the future of transportation. How will we get around in the near and distant future. If we are still moving ourselves that is. Will we finally become Jetsons? Will we travel together or individually? Through the sky, over land or somewhere in between? Fast or slow, polluting or eco-friendly? Who is to say?
We will kick-off with three examples and challenge you to add better or more.
Check it out in our section Getting Around.

Everything Elon Musk touches seems to be turning into gold. But will we be tube rats? Will we voluntarily have ourselves locked up in a dark shuttle just to be transported to our destination? We might. The hyperloop promises to be fast and efficient, and that for one is something most of us are not very much against.

Aviation has been around for over a century now, but after the first Jumbo Jet, the Boeing 747, we have not seen a massive revolution in flying. True, it has become much more available for so many more people, but from a technological point of view we are travelling more or less the same as we were in the 60’s.

Forget flying, forget driving, the future of transportation is about you. Everything you need will be close to you. So whatever you need, you just walk over there. By foot, taking huge steps using these kind of bionic boots.
